There has been an outbreak of the dreaded virus known as "late tuition" this year and it seems to be on the increase. In order to combat this outbreak, the GTKF Agency, (Grow To Know Finance Agency (Kayla)) is issuing this financial public health alert:
Notices are coming out to anyone who has a balance on their account. Small, or less small, all of these little bits together are adding up to accounting headaches. Do your part to combat this ill by finalizing all 2011 payments before 12-31-11. We need to end our year by breaking even and you too can be part of the solution.
IF you are leaving for Christmas vacation, your tuition is due prior to your last day of attendance. Given how small our projected attendance is for the 22nd-31st that is most of you so please, please submit your tuition ahead of time. We are switching to a Friday due date (the Friday before the week attended) and increasing late fees on 1-1-12 so it will be good practice for you. Don't forget the online pay option.
If you are receiving DSS subsidy and have not been asked to sign forms for November attendance this means that your child's name did not appear on invoices from DSS.
PLEASE contact your case worker immediately to rectify this situation. Generally, when it is their mistake, they back pay so there is no lapse in service. Be sure all your required forms are up to date and you are actively eligible. If not, parents must co-pay all amounts denied by DSS. If they have denied all or part of your claim there is an appeal process. The sooner you contact them to settle the issue the less likely you are to get stuck with additional co-pay.
Here's to a zero deficit Christmas!
