Well we made it through!

Remember to call us by 9:30 if you are staying home for any reason so we can cook the right amount of lunch for the day.

I know we keep asking this but it is important that you tell us what you think your holiday attendance will be. We will open enough rooms to accommodate everyone who is coming but we need to know now so that we can let teachers who wish to travel out of town have days off. Everyone is anxious to know their work schedule but there are still several people who haven't said when their children are coming and when they are not. Help us out and make some teachers very happy! Call Ashley at 881-1447, extension 116.

Thank you all who already have and especially those who have changed their original plans and remembered to call and tell us. Yeah you!

Please check the major radio and television stations for closings.

Our phone bulletin board as well as this blog will contain updates also.

We should be able to get a staff person to the school to open the doors, however please use discretion in traveling dangerous roads. If you are going to stay home, please call the preschool and notify us of your child's absence.

Holiday Hours

It is so difficult to come up with workable staff schedules for the holidays. Some teachers want vacation days to travel home and some are out of college for a few weeks and want to work more. We want to accommodate our staff and the needs of our families for childcare during this time so we need your input.

Each classroom has sheets for you to sign up on to tell us when your child will be here and when you might be absent during the holidays. Please fill these out with your teacher and try to be as accurate as possible. We don't want to have staff and maintenence staff here with no children to care for. Likewise we want to be sure we have enough staff each day.

As always, should your plans change please call and let us know.

Thanks, we have a lot of fun planned for this month and we want to be sure things run smoothly.

Scholarships

Many families choose a charity or service activity to give to during the holidays. If your family has this tradition or would like to start one please consider giving to the scholarship fund for Grow To Know. Families who experience crisis can apply for temporary financial aid during their crisis time. Gifts of any and all sizes are accepted.

To contribute for a full unit of enrollment:

Full time is $127 per week

Mornings are $112 for 3 mornings per week, $91 for 2, or $203 for all five mornings.

Contributions to the general fund for the preschool are also appreciated.

Las Posadas

Due to a scheduling conflict for Ms. Liz (Craig) we have moved Las Posadas to the 11th and 12th. Each class will have a scheduled time on one of those two days. Check with your child's teacher for details. This is a beautiful way to experience the first Christmas in a "hands on" way.
